For younger pups or dogs who find the bar too firm, soaking one end in warm water for 3 to 5 minutes creates a softer outer layer before chewing.

Older doggos can enjoy the same softening trick when a firm chew is harder to manage, while the naturally occurring collagen provides useful everyday support for joints, skin and coat.

The Practical Bits

Medium: approximately 10 cm long
Large: approximately 14 cm long

Keep chewing sessions to a maximum of 20 to 30 minutes. Remove the bar if it becomes small enough to swallow.

To soften, soak one end in warm water for 3 to 5 minutes before serving. Do not leave the bar sitting in water.

Between chewing sessions, wipe away excess saliva and leave the bar in a well-ventilated place until completely dry. Never seal a damp bar inside an airtight container.

Small leftover end pieces can be soaked in warm water for 10 minutes and transformed into collagen puffs. Microwave on high for 45 to 60 seconds, or bake at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes until puffed and golden, then cool completely before serving.
