Why Cats & Doggos Love This
- 👃 Food hidden between the felt strands encourages natural sniffing and foraging, giving curious pets a rewarding search.
- 🐾 Scattering dry food across different hiding spots can help slow eager eaters, making each mouthful something to find rather than gulp from a bowl.
- 🧩 Varying how deeply you tuck the rewards lets you adapt the challenge, keeping the activity approachable for beginners and interesting for practised snack detectives.
The Practical Bits
Approximately 30 cm in diameter.
Suitable for dogs and cats. Made from super-soft felt strands threaded through a thicker felt base.
Place on the floor and scatter appropriately sized dry food or small treats among the strands. Start with easy-to-find rewards near the surface before hiding them deeper.
Hand wash with mild detergent, rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before reuse.
Always supervise use. This is a foraging mat, not a chew toy. Remove immediately if your pet starts chewing, pulling out or attempting to swallow the felt.
Check regularly for wear and tear. Remove the mat if damaged or if any pieces become loose or detached. Put away after each supervised session.
